Pharmacy

Supplying community with qualified pharmacists with international standard qualification, abled to provide pharmaceutical care, carry out scientific research and community services provision.

The objectives of the program are divided into three main axes:

A. Training.

B. Scientific research.

c. Services.

A. Training:

• It was agreed that by the end of the course, which extends over ten semesters (fifteen weeks each), the graduate will be able to:
• Preparation of prescriptions.
• Preparation of sterile preparations.
• Dispensing medication according to the scientific and legal bases that govern the circulation of medicine.
• Testing the quality of medicines and medical preparations according to the specifications contained in the pharmacopoeia.
• Active participation in the health team by giving information and advice in identifying therapeutic and preventive drugs.
• Determine the required medicines according to the need of treatment institutions, teaching hospitals, rural and field private and other health units...
• Ordering medicines with international standards according to the pharmacopoeia, methods of transport, storage and dispensing.
• Monitoring and enforcing the Pharmacy and Toxicology Law.
• Management of pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical institutions.
• Provide advice on pesticides and toxicities regarding their treatment and knowledge of their toxicities and harmful effects, including antidotes against these toxins.
• Conducting research in the field of medicine, especially that extracted from medicinal herbs.
• Management and design of pharmaceutical factories.

B. Scientific Research:

• The program is a research symbol in the field of medicine, especially that related to reality and the country's need to help benefit from the popular heritage and medicinal herbs in treatment and development, in addition to the expected role of the college in the field of drug information by establishing a drug information center and research laboratories in various fields of pharmaceutical sciences and their applications to benefit from them and reflect them for medical staff and society.

c. Services:

• The program establishes mini-manufacturing units that are able to meet the needs of the local community by producing certain medicines In addition to her work in student training.

In the program, academically qualified professors in various pharmaceutical sciences and the philosophy of the integrated academic load system followed in universities, professors of other faculties of pharmacy in Sudan and professors of the National Research Council are sometimes used in teaching and evaluating curricula and students.

Those who meet the following conditions shall be nominated for the program:

· Meet the general admission requirements of the Unified Admission Office at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

· The student must pass the medical examination, examination and any other requirements of the college.
